Been awhile since I've posted. I had a free minute or two at work so I decided to get back on the ball.....computer....blog.
We had a great Thanksgiving here. I hope everyone else out there did too. We went to Hot Springs, AR to see family. The leaves were all red and gold, very pretty. We took our time and had fun. Stopped at Natural Falls State Park. If you ever have a chance to go I recommend it, the views from the top and base are breath-taking.
Chris has been switched to day shift for 2 weeks to train on another project. I'm over-joyed to have my husband at night, although I feel bad about his schedule getting messed with. So, last night we sat down to watch SATC2. (We didn't get through it all, we were both ready for bed. ) something that Carrey said made me think. "We need to work on the sparkle."
Her character was complaining that they were becoming too "Mr. and Mrs.", she was frustrated that he was all right with sitting at home with her and watching TV. It got me to thinking; "What's wrong with that? I feel privileged (not to mention it somehow make me feel safe) that Christopher and I are comfortable enough with each other to just sit. We don't have this need to fill the silence all of the time.".
I think that a part of growing old together is just being able to "Be". There may not always be butterflies, looks and health will someday fade, but if there is love you shouldn't have too much to worry about. Just my two cents on the topic. Until next time, God bless you and yours.
