Wordless Wednesday....

In Memory

Instead of doing a "Truthful Tuesday" I'm going to do a memorial post for the OKC bombing.

On April 19, 1995, at 9:02 a.m., an explosion ripped through the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Okla. It was the worst terrorist attack ever undertaken on American soil. The blast killed 168 people - 19 of them children - and injured hundreds. Never Forget.

Manic Monday....

I lead a blessed life! My church is doing a Secret Sisters thing. It's been going on for 6 months and has been such a big blessing in my life! It seems like every time that I started to feel down there would be a gift on the table, along with a journal entry that we shared.
Well tonight was our big reveal! I had a blast. A bunch of women in one room exchanging gifts and nice words...just so nice. I left with a big smile on my face and an up lifted spirit. I missed Christopher and C-Bear though. Thankfully my friend Jessica watched Claire for me since I wouldn't be back before Chris got to work.
Just thought that I would throw a quick update in since I haven't blogged in awhile. So until next time, God bless you and yours.

Truthful Tuesdays.

Today is all about the truth! Weight Watchers....the plan works and I LOVE it! I stepped on the scales and....(wait for it, wait for it.....) lost 1.4 lbs! I lost all of last weeks gain and then some! And yes!...0.2 still counts as "some". Just goes to show what I said/blogged/typed earlier. If you follow the plan it will work for you. I'm looking forward to a healthier me, and trying to get my family on board as well. I've been trying to sneak healthier things in when I can. Like the other night when we had spaghetti. I used whole grain noodles instead of what I usually use. I was fully expecting then to bite into it and tell me they wanted grilled cheese or something. Guess what?! They didn't even realize it! Success!!! I asked C if it tasted all right, he said that it was good. I have a recipe book that I bought recently called "Deceptively Delicious". It's all about how to sneak veggies and things into food. I'm going to try some of what's in it as soon as I get a steamer. Wish me luck! Until next time, God bless you and yours!

Manic Monday....

Manic Monday. Today I did no, I repeat, did not want to get out of bed. Neither did Claire for that matter. It probably didn't help that she was up until 10 o'clock laying in bed signing to herself. It was cute thought. I was watching "Love and Other Drugs" and I heard this little bitty voice. I went in there twice befier that because she kept crying "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" and she hardley ever does that. So I go in there worried that she had a bad dream, my worries came to a rest as soon as she sat straight up and said "Play?!". So between Claire, and my restlessness last night I didn't get a great night's sleep. But I still feel good today. Came to work, not makeup on or contacts in (it kind of feels freeing to tell you the truth) and going home to do my normal routine. I hope everybody has a great Monday! Until then, God bless you and yours.
