My heart is saddened...

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.  My church family has recently suffered 2 losses.  A woman and her 5 year old daughter were hit by a drunk driver.  Her daughter died at the scene and her mother died a few hours later.
The little girl was around my daughters age.  She was so sweet and caring.  My daughter would hang out with her in children's church.  I can't imagine what that family is going through right now.  I'm just clinging to the thought of her up there happy and playing with that big dimpled grin, daring you not to smile back.
I'm so grateful for my faith at a time like this, it keeps me strong and refuses to let me sink.  I don't know where I would be otherwise.
Until next time, may God bless you and yours.

Wow....it's been awhile.

I know that I haven't been on here in a long time....here it goes.  Since we last met a lot has changed in my life.  I now work in town and no longer have a commute (so happy about that one), my family and I have started attending church regularly, my daughter is now 6 years old, and as of March of 2013 I have a new man in my life, my darling son.

In between those times it has been a great, beautiful, hot, blessed mess.  I have struggled, I have triumphed, and everything in between.  I have grown closer to my husband and family thanks to my new work location.  It has been a big change, a little hard to get used to, but a blessing.  Because I now work in town I am able to go to Wednesday night Bible study.  Right now we are doing "Children Of The Day".  I'm only on week two of the program but loving it so far.

Another change in my life is....we're considering buying a house.  Now I say considering because we're looking for something that our family can fit into and we don't want to settle.  We have looked at a few houses that seemed all right, but nothing we just had to have.  So until then we are trying to work on and update our own home.  We have installed a tankless water heater....and let me tell you, I'm in love.   I never knew what it felt like to not have to rush so I could avoid the cold after my daughter takes a shower.

I hope everyone out there in blog land, and otherwise is doing well.  I can't promise that I will be on here regularly but I'm going to try a lot harder to make time for this.  Until next time, may God bless you and yours.
