OMG I MIGHT Actually Be Getting Into The Christmas Spirit...

Okay, for those of you out there who don't know me here's a little bit of information for you. I can not stand it when Christmas things happen before Thanksgiving. By Christmas things I mean, the decorating, the music, the advertising in the stores (commercials I expect). The only thing Christmas like that I don't mind happening before Thanksgiving is getting my shopping done.
Well, this year might be different. We went to Bass Pro Shop last Friday, they had all of their Christmas decorations out. UGH! I was so annoyed.
It was pouring rain, my umbrella broke, and then I have to step into a place that crams Christmas down your throat before Thanksgiving even hits. Pretty soon we're just just going to shove Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas together that way we can get all of the advertising done at once. We'll call it "Hallgivingmas" where we'll put spiders on the pilgrims turkey and place Santa next to it.
Okay, on with my story. Now that I've got that out of my system...we went into Bass Pro Shop and BAM! they might as well smack you over the head with a Christmas tree. I was just about to gripe about it while taking off my coat and then working on Claire's. I looked at her and she was in awe of this Christmas tree. Her whole face was lit up like, well, like a Christmas tree. She pointed and said "Wow Momma!".
Right then and there my heart grew. I pictured that scene from the animated version of the Grinch. You know the one where they take the X-ray machine and watch his heart grow when he discovers the Christmas spirit. Well, I think that mine might have done a smaller version of that.
So, here I am, getting in the Christmas spirit BEFORE Thanksgiving. What's wrong with me?! What have I turned into?! It's not because I'm a mom is it?! I'll have to think that one through. So, until next time, God bless you and yours.

Thank you Amazon...

Another short blog today.
I'm excited, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Enough people have asked Amazon to stop selling the book mentioned in yesterdays post. Guess what?! I got an email this morning about that book. Here it is:

This book is no longer available for sale.
Thank you for your recent inquiry.
Best regards,Taruni R

Thank you to all of those out there who helped make this happen. I went on the website, and while they still have it listed, there is no image, and if you click on it it takes you to a page that has an error from Amazon on it. I can live with that. AND it means that I can still shop online through them. So, until next time, God bless you and yours.

This makes me SICK!

Okay, not a long blog today. Just wanted to share some information for all of you out there in cyber-land.
Any mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, if you have a kid or know someone who does, or if this makes you as sick as it makes me. Please feel free to share and not shop at Amazon until they agree to not sell things like this anymore.
Okay, my rant is over. This is something that I need to pray about I have decided. Just leaves a BAD taste in my mouth. Until next time, God bless you and yours.

I'll miss this...

I've been off of work since Friday. I have had so much fun being with Claire full time. Even going through potty training drama, it's been so much fun. A bad day with my family beats a good day at work ALWAYS.
I could do this full time momma thing. Too bad the economy won't allow it. We went through potty training boot camp. It was pretty good. She still has some trouble during meal time and nap time. We're going to work on night time training when she fully has the hang of it.
SO,...tomorrow we're going to be sending my little girl to day care in her "big girl undies". Still going to send the pull-ups for nap and meal times. I'm excited!
All I can think about is not wanting to go back to work tomorrow, and wondering how Claire will do tomorrow. So I'll quit blogging while I'm ahead, before I start rambling on about Dora undies, and toddler giggles. So until next time, God bless.

Well, it was a very fun Halloween in this house hold. I took off Friday because the town that we live in did trick-or-treating downtown that day. It was a lot of fun. We took our little Abby Cadabby out to get candy and have fun. We also took some great pictures of on the square.
She had so much fun. She said "or treat", her version of trick-or-treat, and thank you to everyone who gave her candy. There was a mini-haunted house that we went through (it was no more than 8 feet long and 4 feet wide. There was black drapes, spider webs and 3 monsters handing out candy. I was thinking..."This won't be too bad, Claire should be fine." I thought wrong. We walked in, fine, got to the first monster, she got a little scared so we just passed without taking the candy. By the time we got to the second monster she was in full out panic mode, trying to climb up my legs and hide at the same time. So, needless to say/type, we hightailed it out of there.
Then Saturday morning we went to our mommy and me art class. Got to decorate sugar cookies, she LOVES her sugar by the way. Then we headed home to attempt our three day potty training method, which I am making a three and a half day. So far it's very trying. But still crossing my fingers. Until next time, God bless
