Thankful Thursday...

It's been awhile since I've blogged. Honestly, I just haven't really thought about it. So I'm going to do quick update on Truthful Tuesday: In a nutshell, I gained 1.6 pounds. I knew I would gain. I did nothing but stuff my face throughout the weekend. If you don't follow the plan it won't work....fact. I'll get there, it's a process. I don't consider this gain a failure, I consider it a lesson, one which I plan to learn from. All right on to "Thankful Thursday":
I'm thankful:
1.) that tomorrow is Friday and the start of the weekend. Obvious, I know. 2.) that Claire was in a good mood when I left the house. Starting out my day on a high note makes it go faster. 3.) that I'm able to make time to work out. I feel so much better after a workout. It's pretty much gotten to the point where I feel like something is missing if I don't do my work out. 4.) that I'm able to afford gas. To a certain point.... 5.) for my husband. He is such a great guy, kind hearted and so thoughtful when he wants to be, lol. Going through some drama with my mom (it's a long me) and he's being super supportive. I hope that everyone is having a good day and may your blessings be too many to count! Until next time, God bless you and yours.

Thankful Thursday...

A lot to be thankful for. So here's my list:

1.) I'm thankful for Netflix. I LOVE it. It's so nice to be able to watch a movie, or TV show when I want.

2.) I got to work in town today. It was so nice not having to commute.

3.) Pilates. It makes me feel so relaxed, and strong at the same time. I know, weird.

4.) Pay day, which is tomorrow. Although I'm more of a filter for my pay check. I get to filter where the money goes, and don't get to keep too much of it. :(

5.) Bath tub Crayola finger paints. Claire had a blast with them tonight. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Thankful Thursday...

Today's post is going to be a short one. But just because I don't have a lot to type doesn't mean that my cup doesn't runith over. So here's my list:

1.) I'm thankful that I'm in good health. The reason that I'm putting this one down is: I had an appointment on 03/03. They did an ultrasound and thought that my IUD might be embedded in the tissue (once they finally found it) and they also found a mass. Well, yesterday I had an appointment for a different kind of ultrasound. My IUD isn't embedded,...AND...AND...the mass is gone!

2.) I'm thankful for the Internet. I have all of these recipes that I've found that are really good. Ranch roast, and potato soup (my first attempt). So YUMMY!

3.) C-Bear's swing set. We went out to play today. She can now climb the ladder that goes up the the main part all by herself! She's getting so big!

4.) The nice weather. (which allowed us to go out and play)

5.) That I can bring C-Bear to day care in her PJ's and trust my daycare provider enough to get her into clothes and ready for the day.

Well, that's all I have now. Until next time, God bless you and yours.

Truethful Tuesday...

Okay. Today is my truth blog. You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! All right....the truth is that I went to my Weight Watchers meeting, fully expecting the scale to say "Get off fatty! If you're not going to follow the plan why in the heck are you here?!" The reason why I walked in there thinking that is this weekend. Usually I'll dip into my points allowance a little bit. This weekend though I emptied the thing. It wasn't pretty.
I was busy cleaning all day saturday and only had 1 cake donut and half a sandwhich. Well, by the time that I sat down in the evening I realized that I was STARVING! Or at least that's what my blood sugar and tummy were telling me. So what did I do? Did I eat a senseable snack before dinner, like fruit or something? Heck no! I ate everything in site. I fixed mac' and cheese with hot dog slices in it for C-Bear and I ended up scarfing down what I didn't give her. Then I fixed myslef a cheese quesidilla, ate it, and still had a whole t-bone steak with mashed potatoes and corn. So yes....I over ate, BIG TIME. Needless to say I was nervous about stepping on the scales today.
The moment of truth was upon me, took off my shoes, stepped on the scale and my eyes wer transfxed to my weight tracker. Was she going to mark a little (big fat) plus sign, or was she going to mark the minus sign that I so desperatly wanted to see. It seemed like it took her forever to read the scale display. Finally, she marked down....-0.6. What?! I lost?! Yeah!
So, just goes to show; it IS possible to totally empty the points allowance and lose. Granted, you shouldn't expect a big loss, but hey, It's a step (no matter how small) in the right direction. So until next time, God bless you and yours.

Manic Monday...

*singing* "Just another Manic Monday...oh, oh, oh". Okay, now that I've gotten that out of my system, on with this post/blog. Today has been a little bit "manic". Claire decided to have night terrors last night (about 5 times total). So I was up a lot of the night trying to calm her down. I don't know what the deal was, but oh well.
So today I was getting myself and Claire ready for the day. I left my house and was going to work and I kept looking at the clock on my dash thinking to myself "Why am I leaving so early?". Then I was thinking that I might have time to run some errands before work. Guess what?! I thought wrong. The reason that I was "leaving so early" is because I wasn't. I had forgotten to "Spring Forward" for daylight savings. Dang it!
I don't like the time changes. It takes me about a week to get used to it. Oh well. So, tomorrow is my Weight Watchers weigh in. I'll let everybody know how I did. Until next time, God bless you and yours.

Thankful Thursday...

Good day all of you out there....where ever "out there" may be. It's "Thankful Thursday" time again. Thankful Thursday is one of my favorite themes. It keeps me fresh and humbles me. I am reminded of all of the luxuries that I live with. God had blessed me with so much.

I am thankful:

1.) That I have a warm bed to sleep in. There are people in the world sleeping on dirt floors, or worse. So the fact that I have a warm, comfortable (sometimes neglected) bed to sleep in is amazing.

2.) That I have health care. There are so many out there, in America, and through out the world that can't afford to go to the doctor so they just go on untreated if they have problems. And no, I'm not trying to get don't start.

3.) I live in a country where I can speak my mind and not worry about the fear of prosecution. We live in a world today where there are people out there who do not have that freedom.

4.) Technology. It has made my life so much easier, from my alarm clock, to my coffee maker, to my car, to my cell phone. I don't have to remember addresses, birthdays, appointments. Like I said....easier.

5.) For all of the blessings in my. I can get to where I complain and I see the glass as "half empty". And don't get me wrong, my life hasn't been one big bowl of cherries or anything, but I'm fortunate to have what I have, my friends, family, husband, daughter. God has truly blessed me.

So, until next time, God bless you and yours.

Truthful Tuesday...

Rainy days. I love them, good for the soul, bad for the hair (at least as far as frizz is concerned). I went to work, was early, so I had time to eat my breakfast (which I grabbed on the way out of the door) and surf the web. It was a little relaxing, but made me wish that I would've stayed at home longer so that I could've spent more time with my family. (Although truthfully the only reason that I got to work early is because I was acting like I was Speed Racer or something.)
Lunch break: rush to Subway, rush to the meeting. Step on the scale...moment of truth "You're down 0.8 lbs." I lost! I lost! I'm a loser! It was such a good feeling. I know, a little less than a pound, but a loss is a loss.
I was having one of those "I feel yucky" days. I didn't feel pretty, I felt fat, and just blah. I'm sure everyone has had one of those days. I got up to the scale and the lady that was taking every one's weight said "You are so pretty.". It's just what I needed. My husband tells me that I'm pretty, but hearing it from someone who's not so close to you, it's different.
So, until next time God bless you and yours.
